These superheroes appeal to people of all ages; from kids as young as 2 to grown men and women… after all they’ve been wowing us with their antics since childhood. Some of them are still going strong, and are currently wowing the younger generations with their more modern antics! Here’s our top ten Marvel Characters to dress up as for 2018.

Some good examples would be Spiderman, Wolverine, The Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, Daredevil, Black Panther, and Captain Marvel. There are also Marvel teams, such as the Avengers, X-Men, Fantastic Four and Guardians of the Galaxy. Then there are the equally famous bad guys, from Venom to Doctor Doom and the Green Goblin.

Why not inhabit the Marvel Universe for a day by dressing up as your favourite Marvel character? Here are our top ten Marvel characters for your inspiration:

  1. Black Panther

Marvel black pantherBlank Panther (aka T’Challa) is a formidable character whose senses and physical attributes were enhanced by a heart-shaped herb. A master acrobat and hunter, he’s always one step ahead of his opponents; he can track them like the stealthiest jungle cat.

Black Panther has the agility and skills of many hunter animals, which is why he enters into combat unfazed. Most of the time he doesn’t even bother with weapons! Take on the role of protecting the Wakanda Kingdom for a day by dressing up as this slick super-cat.

  1. Deadpool

marvels deadpool costumeDeadpool is superhuman in the best possible way; he can regenerate his bodily cells to recover faster than any human. Chopped off leg? No problem, it’ll be back. He can escape the effects of disease and even get away with drinking poison! As you would expect, his body is in great shape, and he has the stamina and agility of a cheetah.

Deadpool is striking in his red and black jump suit, in which he wields his two swords impressively. Embody this athletic superhero and who knows, you might find you have enhanced ability to shake off any afflictions. Hopefully that works for hangovers too… there’s only one way to find out!

This 6ft 6 giant is the proud owner of one the greatest weapons of all time: the enchanted hammer ‘Mjolnir’. This muscle-bound superhero is actually pretty bright and compassionate; he loves to fight the good fight.

If you fancy your chances at being a modern-day warrior, Thor is the character for you. Find out how proficient you are at hand-to-hand combat, swordsmanship and hammer throwing. Thor’s impressive get-up will go a long way to making you look the part, in your Viking headpiece, blond wig, leather boots, red cape… as will your enchanted hammer!

  1. Doctor Strange

Marvels Dr StrangeWhy not become on of the most powerful sorcerers in existence? Doctor Strange draws his power from powerful mystic entities and objects, by manipulating the universe’s magical energy, and from his innate psychic resources.

Some of his specialties are energy manipulation and projection, transforming matter, animating inanimate objects, teleporting, casting illusions, mesmerism, and astral travel… but there are many more! He’s always decked out in his long blue jacket with a black, fancy leather waist belt and red cape. Magically suave!

  1. Black Widow

     

What a name! This time, the name says it all. Black Widow is a force to be reckoned with. Her real name is Natasha Romanova, and she’s an expert spy, athlete, and assassin. A graduate of the KGB’s infamous Red Room Academy, she was once an enemy of the Avengers, but later became an ally.Marvels black widow

Black Widow is a character for the ladies to emulate, with her sexy leather skin-tight jump suit. She’s often seen looking sultry, gun in one hand, ready to pounce… or shoot. Other awesome female Marvel characters to dress-up as might be daredevil Elektra, or green queen Poison Ivy. You’re spoilt for choice, so get your friends involved!

  1. Captain America

marvels captain America costumeThis patriotic superhero is hell-bent on serving his country. Steve Rogers swallowed a super-soldier serum, which morphed him into America’s single-man army. His sole aim is to fight for the red, white and blue and he’s been doing so for more than 60 years. His abilities include martial arts judo and boxing, which he combined to make his own fighting style.  If you want to represent liberty and freedom, Captain America is your man. It’s all about the stars and stripes. Don’t forget your shiny shield and your best MMA moves!

  1. Star-Lord

Previously an angry and vengeful being, he eventually vowed never to take another life unless he really had to. He’s always seen doing his thing with his partner, Ship, in tow. Star-Lord’s costume is something special; it allows him to survive in space, but he doesn’t even need a helmet. He can fly effortlessly through the air or in space itself… who wouldn’t want that ability? He also looks pretty dashing in his long red leather coat and pants, which is also a bonus!

  1. Spiderman

After being bitten by a radioactive spider, Peter Parker gained his spidery capabilities and decided to use these new skills to his advantage. Naming himself Spiderman, this compassionate kid vowed to use his powers to help others.

Spiderman clings to almost any surface and has superhuman strength – he’s as agile as a spider, slinging his webs and leaping phenomenal distances. He can evade injury through his spider sense. Don his blue and red skin-tight body suit and mask and see if you can impress your neighbours by scaling the walls… but watch out for those wobbly drainpipes!

  1. Ironman

Marvels Ironman costumeIron Man started out as a billionaire industrialist, but was injured, captured and made to build a weapon by his enemies. He made an advanced suit of armour that saved his life, and he escaped captivity. This changed his perspective, and he now uses his genius level intellect and wealth to make the world better place.

His red and gold suit of armour looks quite the part. If you fancy encasing yourself in an impenetrable suit, he’s the character for you. Robert Downey Junior is a hard act to follow, mind!

  1. Scarlet Witch

 The Scarlet Witch taps into a mystic energy source in order to alter reality. This includes creating hex-spheres and molecular disturbances in her targets’ probability fields, which leads to spontaneous combustion. She has also been known to create entire armies of enemies out of thin air.

Scarlet Witch is trained in basic sorcery techniques, but she isn’t always able to control her fill powers, which can be dangerous. Fancy being this ruthless and reckless she-devil for a day? There are simply too many Marvel characters to mention, but we can think of at least one good reason why that’s a good thing: you have endless dressing up possibilities! And as we’re talking about Marvel, that applies regardless of your age! Have fun.
